Virtual Meetings

Copper Contributor
Our firm of 117 people recently started using MS Teams. The Shareholders want for everyone to use a firm chosen background for video meetings. Is there a way to block people from using a different background? Is there a way for the admin to set the background globally so it's always there when the meeting starts? It looks like it can only be changed after the meeting starts but I'm not sure. I look forward to your answer.

Thank you

Hi,

Admins can't set a background for users. Admins can set a meeting policy to only allow blur, disable all backgrounds or only allowing the default backgrounds and blur.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/meeting-policies-in-teams#meeting-policy-settings---...

There is an uservoice requesting central administrated backgrounds, vote and comment on that.

If a user selects a background, that selection will persist between meetings now. So users only have to select background once.
