Uploaded Teams App Package download

Copper Contributor

I have a Teams App that was uploaded which was working. Now we want to push an update to it. But we dont have the original manifest file or package in order to edit in App Studio. Is there a way to download what was used to create the App from what is now uploaded?

Thanks in advance,
Jake.

Hi Jake K,

There isn't a way that you can download it out of Teams or out of the Teams Admin Centre currently. This confirms you need to re-upload it

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/platform/concepts/deploy-and-publish/apps-upload#rem...

You have to reload the app to make changes. There is definitely a need to download a zip with the app in if its a custom app so I have opened a uservoice here

An idea - but it may not fit your situation - is if it were a power app and the user was still in the organisation, they can download the msapp package via https://make.powerapps.com or if they share the app with you

Hope that helps
