Does Search based extension support multi layer conversation?

I am building a search-based extension for MS Teams. I am able to build a basic extension that allows me to search through my inventory.

What I want to achieve is that, once the user provides some response then with an extension, I should be able to catch what the user selected and then provide the next available actions.

Currently, it seems like, we are able to collect/catch the user input only once in the extension.
