Hi Guys,

Is it possible to disable Teams Calls and Meetings button from Teams client app?

We don't want our end users to use this functionality at this moment.

You can use policies for this! You set this in the teams admin portal!

Meetings:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/meeting-policies-in-teams

Private Calling can be disabled itb this powershell cod:

Disable calling for all users using the following Powershell command

Set-CsTeamsCallingPolicy -Identity Global -AllowCalling $false -AllowPrivateCalling $false

I would like to disable the call and video meeting options from inside specific VDI clients via a user GPO applied to specific computers.  Is this possible?  We have a VDI environment that does not perform well for the masses with these specific features (might be able allow for select group of staff).  An admx file that I could apply those settings would be awesome.  The only policy I currently see available to change is "Prevent Microsoft Teams from starting automatically after installation", which we purposely set to disable (since we want it to start).

Teams outside of VDI works fine with all features and we absolutely want to keep it enabled from the cloud side of things for all users so they can use those features from their local desktop.

@benbhk No, you can use the Teams meeting policies applied to the user, but not anything machine specific to identify you are using VDI.
