Remote Storage for DPM

I'm looking for affordable remote storage for our DPM backups. We used to use two DPM servers--one local, one remote backing up the local DPM server. But for budget reasons we no longer do that. Any suggestions for affordable off-site storage that DPM can work with automatically would be great.

Storage prices has gone down quite a lot in the last years, so there are plenty of affordable alternatives out there.

Before making the decision to buy backup storage, you need to know your own requirements and needs, this simplifies when trying to find the appropriate storage.

For example:

• What kind of backups are you planning to perform?
• What are your organization's requirements? (RTO / RPO)
• Short-term or long-term backups?
• Is there a need for fast disks or just for simple archiving?

As for which exact storage, it doesn't really matter, as long as it is certified and has drivers for the Windows Server operating system you run your DPM server on.
