In August, System Center Advisor welcomes System Center 2012 SP1 Virtual Machine Manager as a monitored workload.
If you have Virtual Machine Manager servers in your environment, look for new alerts about their configuration - and that of their agents.
This represents the first step towards providing proactive guidance and configuration best practices for all System Center components that power your private cloud infrastructure. If you are operating a private cloud, you probably are using Operations Manager together with Virtual Machine Manager. As you might know from a previous post, with the Advisor Connector , you can use your existing Operations Manager agents and management servers to receive Advisor rules which collect and forward configuration data to Advisor. Advisor then process the data & generate appropriate alerts which can be viewed back in your Operations Manager console. Here you can see a screenshot from my test environment with some Advisor Alerts in System Center Operations Manager:
