This has been one of the most fun solutions to demonstrate at our conferences lately. I call it the “James Bond demo”. Imagine your user calls in and says he left his laptop with all the company’s top secret information on it in the taxi. Or maybe it was stolen. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could just look up the user’s computer in the Service Manager console, click a button and lock down that computer (and even wipe the drives) remotely? That’s what this solution is all about. You can see some of the configuration options that you get in this demo that Geoff Glave from Absolute did at the Microsoft Management Summit recently.
Nice work guys!

I should mention that all of this is enabled at the lowest level by the new anti-theft technology in
Intel vPro
. Pretty cool stuff!
