New versions of the
Provance IT Asset Management Pack
and the
Provance Data Management Pack
are now available for
Microsoft System Center 2012
.
In addition to enhanced performance and product experience, the Provance management packs for System Center 2012 incorporate many new and exciting features, including:
Asset Request Management using the new System Center 2012 Service Catalog
Quickly and easily create Request Offerings from the Hardware and Software Catalogs you’re maintaining in the Provance IT Asset Management Pack to allow users to place Service Requests for IT assets using the System Center 2012 self service portal.
Expanded Use of Notification for Proactive Agreement Management
Now you can send key stakeholders automatic e-mail notifications alerting them that key events or milestones related to an agreement, such as an audit or renewal, are scheduled to occur. Provance agreement notifications have also been extended to include software agreements and licenses.
Data Management Made Even Easier
Many new enhancements to the
Provance Data Management Pack
make it even faster and
easier to bring data from external sources into your System Center 2012 deployment. You can now preview source data and templates during an import to ensure their validity. You can make changes to the columns in your source data without affecting a template built from the source. The data source can now be saved as part of a template, so you don’t need to select your input for each import. And by popular request, the Data Management Pack now supports LDAP as an input for System Center 2012!
