Just a quick heads up on a new KB article we published today. This one’s really only relevant from a support standpoint as it details the information our troubleshooting tool gathers but I thought you’d like to know about it anyway.
System Center Data Protection Manager 2010 – Windows Server 2008 – Basic troubleshooter for Support Diagnostic Platform was designed to collect information to help troubleshoot most of Data Protection Manager 2010 problems.
This article describes the information that may be collected from a machine when running the System Center Data Protection Manager 2010 – Windows Server 2008 – Basic troubleshooter for Support Diagnostic Platform.
In additional to the files collected and listed above, this troubleshooter can detect one or more of the following situations:
· Machine is running on a virtual environment
· Pre-release version of Windows Server 2008
· Evaluation versions of Windows Server 2008
