As David mentioned in his post about the New VM Role option , customer feedback has been very important to us here on the Virtual Machine Manager team. And with that said, we opened VMM User Voice to the public last month and we have seen a great turn around and are reviewing every idea carefully. For example, a recent response from the VMM team was provided for the suggestion titled “ End-to-End Hyper-V and Cluster Management in the SCVMM Console ”. In this case we looked into the idea but due to the large scope, we had to break it into the top four items that the voters were asking for.

Please take a look using the link above and vote on them. If you have an idea that you don’t see, please add it in User Voice as a new idea!

To proceed further, I also thought it might be helpful to provide a FAQ describing how to start User Voice and how the VMM team will respond:

FAQ:

Q: How do I begin with VMM User Voice?

1. Go to VMM User Voice
2. Create a user account if you don’t already have one. Enter your contact information in case we need to ask more questions directly).
3. Add your voice! (I wish… )

or

4. Cast a vote for an idea you like. You get 10 votes total!

Q: What ideas will be most considered by the VMM Product Team?

• Ideas with the highest votes will be considered most heavily.
• Clear and actionable idea will be reviewed the most quickly.

Caution: Do not create a single idea with multiple ideas within it. We need to keep each idea separate in order to understand the priorities. Please make sure each is a separate idea so we can clearly see and vote on each. If there are single submissions that contain a large number of separate ideas we may have to close the idea so that each can be considered separately.

Q: How does the VMM Team respond to the ideas?

Once the VMM Product Team has reviewed the idea, the idea status will change. We provide an email notification to voters and place responses on the User Voice site: VMM Product Team Response

Note: The "Under Review" status means that the VMM Product Team is reviewing the idea. It does not guarantee any deliverables.

Q: When do votes get released?

Each votes get released when the idea is closed. (decline or completed)

Every idea and every vote counts!! We are aggressively listening so please provide FEEDBACK!!
