Anyone found that video that's been added to a Sway wont play when the Sway is viewed on an Android Phone using the Edge browser (and apparently also on iPhone?)
I created a Sway recently that has multiple photos and 3 videos. On multiple PC's all work fine. On my mobile, on the Edge browser, the photo's are fine but on tapping the video, the tile just goes black with a play button & cloud to indicate its sourced on OneDrive. On the Chrome browser, on the same phone, works fine. Only way to play the video on Edge (mobile) is to double tap so that it opens within OneDrive to view separately :( Also had multiple iPhone users moaning they couldn't view any of the videos either. Not just this Sway, tried an earlier one with video and same issue. Anyone come across this please & know a fix. Thanks. Allan

Hi Allan - sorry about the slow response.
I just tried this out on my Android phone - a Pixel 2. I created a sway on my desktop machine, added a video from OneDrive, and tested it on my phone, on both Chrome and Edge. The video worked fine in both browsers for me.
I tried this both with my personal account (which uses OneDrive) and my work account (which uses OneDrive for Business), and both worked fine.
There might have been a temporary outage in Azure Media Services that could somehow have caused this, though I'm not sure why it would affect Edge and not Chrome. Based on the Azure status history page, it looks like there was an outage in some services not too long before you posted:
Do you still see the same problems now?

Thanks for trying this out at your end. Sadly, no change. In Chrome browser on phone, tap the video and it plays. In Edge, still, tap it & I get the first frame of the video, then goes black. Maybe the outage corrupted something as I was building the Sway although as you suggest, cant see why it would affect Edge and not Chrome on mobile. Oddly, on Edge in W10, all is fine.

Strange. I asked a couple more people on the team, and unfortunately no one else can think of what it might be.
One small point: what version of Edge on Android are you running? Mine is 220.127.116.119 - updated a few days ago, and the video I tried still works.
Are you able to share the link to the sway where you see the problem? (in a private message is fine - we don't need to share it externally) There's a fair chance we'll need to forward the problem to the OneDrive team, since they handle that video player, and I'm sure the first thing they ask us will be to give them a link to a video where the problem comes up.

I'm using Android 8.1.1 on a Nokia 8 with Edge at 18.104.22.1688. Tried the same Sway on my wife phone on Edge and the videos load so I'm coming to the conclusion its probably an issue with my phone rather than Edge. Only difference is the phone and the OS (Android 7 & Edge at 22.214.171.1249) where it works!
Happy to provide a link if you think its worth further investigation. I've found an earlier sway with a video embedded that doesn't play either (sent via message).

Thanks for the link! I tried out your sway on my phone, desktop, and laptop, and didn't see any problems with it myself - but it sounds like it might be something very specific to your configuration.
I've been chatting to the OneDrive team about it, and they think it might be an Edge problem, but we'll chase it up and see if we can figure out what's going on.
In a sense, there's a bright side in that there's a workaround for you (using Chrome or another phone), though it's never fun to have to use one. Unfortunately though, since it's so specific, that'll probably make it hard to track down!
I'll let you know if there's anything of interest to follow up with. Thanks for the report!

Thanks for taking a look, appreciate you taking the time. Uninstalled and reinstalled Edge, just to see what happened and voila, now works. My previous install of Edge must have had a glitch of some kind!

Definitely strange, but glad you got it resolved. The Edge team are taking a look, since they think it might be related to some other video problems they'd been seeing lately, so thanks again for the report!
