Hi,

In my personal private, non paid Office account, I have an option in Sway such that when I upload a document, I can see "Embed" or "import" if I want to embed a document.

In my work account, I have to open Office 365, find the file in there, use the manual embed code and then paste that into Sway, as it seems to default to Import.

Is this normal? Is there a setting somewhere I cannot find?

Thanks,

In Office 365 Sway, in the Storyline View, navigate to "Insert" (Image Icon in upper right) and choose the the "From My Device" option.

Then select the PPTX presentation in question, Sway will automatically import the Power Point information into your Sway, and attempt to convert it accordingly.

That's just it  though - I don't want the conversion. I just want it to embed.

I see what you mean- so yeah the only way to do it is to add the manual embed code.

Hi AJ - yes, this is a bit strange at the moment, sorry.  The reasoning behind it is because the two different accounts go through different storage systems - OneDrive and OneDrive for Business - and those provide different sets of functionality, so that limits the options of what we can do.  (I think it's probably something to do with the extra security requirements for business accounts, but I'm not sure of the details)

This catches us out internally as well.  (It's certainly caught me out a few times)  Sorry there's no great solution as yet, but rest assured that it's on our list to sort out.

That's unfortunate. Thanks Chris for the detailed response.
