Until very recently I was able to view the Activity for each Sway created and shared. I could see the number of reads, deep reads, scans, amount of time spent, percentages, etc.
This week that data is gone for all Sways created.
Has the Activity feature been removed? I hope not! Any explanation or advice on how to regain that data is appreciated.

That sounds unusual. Would you mind sharing with me a Sway that you know had views previously (on this thread or private message)?
A couple of follow up questions,
Thanks for reporting the issue!

Yes, we have a 365 Office subscription.
Nothing is showing up.
No, I don't see view counts.
I private emailed you a sample of what my Sway looks like.

Hi there, I haven't seen any email/message yet. Just the Url of any of your sways would be fine, I don't need to access the sway itself.

The issue in this thread was due to some confusion between the sway.office.com page, the https://www.office.com/launch/sway page and the https://www.office.com page (this last one isn't supposed to show analytics). Can you confirm if the issue is happening on the sway.office.com page? and the same follow up questions would also be useful.

Hello @harleyadams, This is happening to my sway presentations. I can see the counts on all sways but they stopped being updated. The latest sway which I published and shared with a community of 2000 people stopped at 3. I know many people have read it but the count is stuck at 3. Is there a way to correct this? Thank you in advance for your advice.

I'm in the same boat as others. The newsletter I pushed out yesterday isn't capturing any metrics- it's completely blank, yet colleagues received and read it.

@harleyadamsYes this is using the analytics tab on sway.office.com

As a followup I met with the team to troubleshoot this and noticed two team members were using the other Sway version.
The problem Sway was created in sway.office.my and shared to a team member who was using office.com/launch/sway which appears in our 365 waffle menu that ended up sharing the link from there. I assume this is the problem and confusion you mentioned previously?
Is this waffle menu displayed across all office related sites managed by our IT or is that a leftover link? I've noticed when searching for Sway in a search engine we do find the new link which is likely how the rest of our team members started using that version. We are using Office 365 Enterprise E3 if that helps troubleshooting this, could this be the reason why we have an old version of Sway in the waffle menu?

I am having the exact same problem with my Sways. I have used it for school newsletters and the most recent one I shared on Wednesday has no analytics showing even though I know it has been viewed many times (previous Sways have been viewed 400+ times). This is such valuable information for us and something I hope can be rectified soon.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi again @harleyadams,
Update: I can see the views now. However, I've never gotten such low views before. The number of views doesn't match my email click through rate report. Usually, the views just differ slightly (7% max.) from the number of unique clicks but now, it's a 34% difference. Please help, thank you!

Another update - as the previous poster stated we also have a more realistic view count on the problem Sway posting. Guessing it stopped logging for a few moments? Regardless it seems like the issue was resolved so we should be fine moving forward?

Hi all. Thanks for the reports. I can confirm we did have a processing issue in our analytics system that started last Sunday night, that caused a backlog of analytics to build up. I fixed the issue last night, and from then analytics view data started updating and working through the build up. Our data shows us that all the data was worked through about 7 am this morning (roughly one hour prior to me posting this). Your analytics pages should now be updated with all views that occurred during this time period.
Thank you all for your patience and we are sorry for the inconvenience! If you think you are still missing a large number of views, please reach out and I can do my best to investigate on our side.

@harleyadams Hi, I am having this issue too now. I understand the problem was solved in March however I am now having this issue on the Sway presentations I have created. The analytics on the Sway I sent out yesterday were fine and it appears the one I have sent out today has stopped logging views.
Can you help?

It looks like we had a similar event in our service last night causing a backlog of analytics updates. Everything should be up to date now, there were no signs of data loss. Could you please check you analytics data again and let me know if you are still getting 0 views?
Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience,

Could you please share the url of the sway in question? I don't need to view it, but the url itself will help me investigate the issue. Could you also please clarify, "But now there was no result" does this mean that you got results for other sways but none for this one? or does this mean you got no results for any Sways.

Our office is also experiencing this issue with Sway analytics. We sent a newsletter to 500+ people and have checked with many employees who have viewed the newsletter, but our analytics are only showing one view. Would it be possible to get help? Our company has an active 365 account, we're using the sway.office.com page, the analytics column is still showing, and we have not reset our data.

Could you be more specific regarding the time frame between expected view of the Sway by other users, and the time at which you are checking the analytics tab? If there is extra load in the system updates can be delayed by a short period of time.
And to clarify, the view count has never shown higher than the current value? It has always 1 or less?
Also, could you please share a url for the Sway in question? I don't need to actually view the Sway, but the url would help me investigate the issue.

- The visual link to access the Sway was sent 12PM on 7/9, and the last two newsletters we sent got upwards of 100 views within the first day. We checked the analytics tab yesterday and today and have seen no updates at all.
- The view (for as long as we've checked it) has always been at 1 or less
- URL to 1st Sway and secondary Sway embedded within it are below:
1st Sway: https://sway.office.com/IYfhF5cGAvbEBJrS
2nd embedded Sway: https://sway.office.com/VycFtOdiievyvQ98

Apologies for the late reply. Our readers count during the first release of our sway was 81 views then after two days it went down to 58 views actually (sorry for the misinformation). I'm not sure how sway analytics is working but isn't it suppose to increase view count instead of the opposite?
Thank you, appreciate your reply
