Upgrading UEFI locked Surface Pro 5 to Windows 11

Copper Contributor

Has anyone been able to do this?

When I do the check the setup says tpm is ok but cpu is a bit old.

Don't really want to get started and find out that  I can't do anything because it's locked,

Cheers.

You can do it by changing of registry key and following guidance here. https://www.theverge.com/22715331/how-to-install-windows-11-unsupported-cpu-intel-amd-registry-reged...

I would be careful though. During some updates that have run after windows 11 install, it tried to update firmware, but failed, now the Surface MC device is failing with code 10 and touchscreen is not working anymore.

Some people mentioned bad work with CPU so it eats a lot of battery.
