Tweaks for Surface Hub

What is everyone using the Surface Hubs for? Our CEO wants to use this as a more "assigned device" Is there a way to make Skype hold his session and everything else?

Quite simply, Surface Hub is a collaborative device meant to be used by multiple people at the same time. There's a reason the Windows edition for it is called 'Windows 10 Team'!

Our chairman toyed with the idea of having one in his own breakout room for his own use, but ultimately decided against it, purely as it wouldn't have received much use for the cost.

The moment you end the session, the Surface Hub resets back to the Welcome Screen and to a ready state. The session can technically remain active, so long as you never restart the Surface Hub (which would also mean not updating it...).

Simply put, if you want a system for Skype for Business that you can tailor to your CEO, there are better solutions out there.

Our CTO has his own Surface Hub and it works well for him.  The ability to sign in to the Surface Hub with your account when you have to makes access to meetings, files, Sharepoint and OneDrive very simple.

As far as "holding the session", you could use MDM to configure that particular device to not kill the session on timeout, but just be aware that if it loses power whatever he was working on could be lost.  Also consider the security implications of doing so.
