Surface Hub Whiteboard Co-Authoring w/ Skype For Business

Copper Contributor

Hello,

I understand that the Surface Hub has the ability to collaborate with another Surface Hub in real time. I'm wondering if it's possible to collaborate with a Surface Hub if I'm in a SFB call from my computer? I would imagine I could collaborate real time with the hub if it's a PowerPoint file shared on OneDrive and both the Surface Hub user and myself have access. But is there any possibility of collaborating through the Whiteboard app, either through Skype for Business whiteboard or the Surface Hub native whiteboard application?

If this is not possible, is it in the pipeline? If not possible, is there any scenario where a remote laptop user could collaborate and/or co-author simultaneously with a Surface Hub?

Thanks

Hi Devin

It's not currently possible. Whiteboard collaboration is currently only supported Hub-to-Hub, but the Whiteboard app for Windows 10 is expected soon (most likely to coincide with the release of the Fall Creators Update) and Microsoft have already shown off Whiteboard collaboration for Windows 10, so no doubt at that point I imagine the Surface Hub will also be able to collaborate with Windows 10 devices running the Whiteboard app.
