After a couple of years out of the game, I'm back working for a company where we've recently bought a Surface Hub 2S 85".
I noticed that the Surface Hub is now essentially running Teams Rooms, and good god is it SLOW. The entire unit feels sluggish, with massive latency between inputs in Teams and it actually responding, such as trying to screen share. Compared to how I remember Surface Hub in early 2020, with instant response, a lightweight and snappy interface, this is just an awful experience.
Whiteboard too is extremely poor, taking upwards of 5-8 seconds to launch, and then the pens having noticable latency when in use. The eraser sometimes doesn't even detect inputs as the Hub is so slow at responding to the pens in eraser mode.
What on earth has happened over the past 2-3 years? Why is this high-end collaboration device suddenly so unusable with 2 of it's best features running worse that ever? Are Microsoft aware of the poor performance of Teams and Whiteboard on Surface Hub these days, and are there plans to rectify this?
Just to be sure, I've done a full BMR and the device still runs like crap. Please tell me this is an isolated incident and there's a problem with my Hub specifically I can get rectified using the warranty, as this is so disappointing.

Hello @huds601,
As Teams has gotten more and more features over time, you might see a small difference in performance. However, it should not be as visible as you described it and, to me, it sounds like this could be isolated to your device. I suggest opening a support case to have a closer look and check if we can improve the performance of your device
Best regards,
Cezar

@huds601 I know this doesn’t help you resolve your issue, but we have observed the exactly same decrease in performance that frankly makes the device unusable. So, no, it isn’t isolated to just your device(s). It e have observed it on all of our 2s devices.
