Heya folks, Ned here again. I came across a great post at Briantist.com today: a script to create a progress bar for DFSR Database Cloning . We never added a proper GUI for this operation and just relied on people reading the event log or waiting patiently – but Brian had other ideas:

Get Progress on DFS Replication Database Cloning Import

Nifty

Slick and simple, it grovels the DFSR event log progress to build a nice visualization. It even works remotely from your client. Obviously, if cloning works as well as I claim, you won’t need a progress bar – it will be over too fast! Riiiiiiighht.

Great work, Brian. Check out more of his work or follow him on The Twitters .
