Windows Server 2003 R2 includes an
Administration Tools Pack
for running some of the R2 snap-ins on XP SP2 computers. A newsgroup customer recently tried this but found that some of the DFS Namespaces options are greyed out. As it turns out, you also need to install a
hotfix
to add the new DFS Namespaces APIs to XP SP2 computers. Once you do this, you can configure the new options for target priority, target failback, and more.
