SSMS 18.10 pre-required components

Hello

I just installed my new Win 11 computer from scratch (Windows update done).

VS 2022 is installed and VC++ 2022 Runtime [x86 and x64] (14.30.30708.0) and other tools.

But during install SSMS installed VC++2013 [x86] (12.0.30501.0).

Shouldn't be updated to a more recent version ?

SSMS is a plugin for Visual Studio 2015 (or 2017), so VC++ 2013 RT is quite normal.

so SSMS is no more useful with VS2022 Pro because there is a replacement application ?
