HI Team,

I am planning to do Oracle 12 to MS SQL 2014 conversion with SSMA tool 8.8.

I am able to successfully connect to Oracle (Source) and MS SQL 2014 (target) from SSMA.

But, when i saved project, it attempted to capture metadata for all Schemas and gave lot of errors like below.

Oracle Server Object Collector error: package : ASCI
Error loading package 'ASCI'. Package is wrapped.
Oracle Server Object Collector error: package : WWV_FLOW_RANDOM
Error loading package 'WWV_FLOW_RANDOM'. Package is wrapped.
Oracle Server Object Collector error: packaged-function : rand
Content of object 'rand' was not loaded from wrapped package 'WWV_FLOW_RANDOM'.
Oracle Server Object Collector error: packaged-function : rand_max

Same kind of errors were repeated for 100s of packages.

When i run for Conversion report, it is giving 1000s of errors and might be because of above discrepancies.

Can anyone help me by letting me know what i am missing here. I have given permissions to USER of Oracle DB with required privileges as it was asked by SSMA tool.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks

Jagan.

Hi and good day to you!

First congratulation on going for Microsoft technologies (I dont like Oracle p-sql language)

1)I heard about all kind of data, app migration while I was a consultant in IT.

2)They must be planned carefully...data maps, could require manual data migration (in my time also used dts package to implement data code (super data flow agent with code)

3)Last scenario is using raw low level data transfer agent

Hope this helps...congratulations again for opting for Microsoft.
