SQL 2014 error 'The Primary Filegroup is full'

I need your help to get the exact root cause of the issue "The Primary Filegroup is full" & how to avoid to occur again in the future.  Please help on this & suggest better option.

Either the max database size limit is set or the disk run out of space.
What to suggest with that less informations? Have an eye on.

@olafhelper  Thanks for the input. For now we have Increased the cache to 10MB from 6MB & disk space is unlimited. Now under observation.

But can you suggest if other parameters in the SQL can create this problem?
