linked server oracle error ORA-01034

Copper Contributor
Hi everyone
Does anyone have an idea why this error occurs?
I thank you in advance

Cannot initialize the data source object of OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracle" for linked server "MyOracle".
OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracle" for linked server "MyOracle" returned message "ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
Linux-x86_64 Error: 2: No such file or directory". (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 7303)

That's to less on information for diagnostic.
First, the error message comes from Oracle (data provider), not from MS SQL Server.

Are you using SQL Server on Linux?
AFAIK currently linked server to a RDBMS different the MS SQL Server are not supported.

Linux, database version 11.2.0.4 (upgraded last week from version 10)
but with the previous version it worked correctly
any other ideas?

Have you edited your origin pots; it's now a different error?
And the error still comes from Oracle, not SQL Server. Search for, for example:
https://forums.oracle.com/ords/apexds/post/ora-27101-shared-memory-realm-does-not-exist-linux-x86-64...
no the error is always the same.
Do you think it's Oracle's problem?
I try to send the link to the oracle system administrator

Solution
It's an Oracle error message, so an Oracle (data provider) problem.
