I am thinking about getting Skype for Business.
I have an existing Skype (Personal) account.
If I buy Skype for Business, it will be done under a different email address to that associated with my existing Skype account. The two email addresses are on different domains.
Can I use that existing Skype account with my newly purchased Skype for Business? I am happy to change the email associated with the existing account if necessary.

I don't think this is possible. SfB and Skype are very different and use different infrastructure and servers, although they share a name. There is federation between SfB and Skype, so they can talk to each other. But you can't sing in into SfB with regular Skype account and get your contacts and history.
