Skype for Business (Office 365) freezes temporarily when placing a call on hold

I use Skype for Business through office 365, version 16.0.11929.20618, 64-bit.  When I'm on a phone call in Skype and I attempt to place the call on hold, Skype will frequently stop responding for 10-20 seconds before finally placing the call on hold.  During this time, the call is still active and both parties can hear each other.  I've tried reinstalling Skype and have not had any success with solving the problem.  I've attempted to search around for anyone else having the same problem but haven't found anything.  I've attached a video showing


I've experienced it happening both when calling other Skype number and when calling non-Skype phones.


I'd greatly appreciate any assistance.
