Skype for business 2016 prompts Unlicensed product at the top

Copper Contributor

Hi All,

Good day!

We are running SFB 2016 C2 version along with Office 2010 suite MSI version.

From last few months we have users reporting SFB requesting for activation key. Users have valid license assigned on the O365 portal.

I have tried clearning SFB cache, and Re-install. No luck.

Any suggestions help would be much apprecaited.

Thanks,

Anand N V

There has been a change in the configuration which Microsoft has made in the deployment of the Skype for Business Basic Client. I have been facing the same issue with my end. As a workaround, we can only deploy the Skype for Business 2016 or Skype for Business 2015 Client from the Office 365 Portal.

Skype for Business (SFB) Click to Run installer.

We have office 2010 MSI version running on the workstations. I was told by MS support team that C2R and MSI version is not recommended. Please let me know if anyone had similar use.
