skype for business web app times out (on premise)

We have certain conference room scenarios where the only option for connecting to an SfB meeting is via the web app. We are getting reports (and I have witnessed it) that the web app times out after "inactivity", where inactivity = a PowerPoint presentation is in the foreground, someone is clicking through it, and they never interact with the web app itself. After some period of time, a message appears on the web app (which the user never sees because it's in the background) similar to "the meeting is going to time out". Don't recall the exact message, but it appears to be generated by the web app. It's not a typical IIS or browser timeout message. A short time after that, remote attendees can no longer see or hear the meeting.

This happens when authenticated users are connected to the meeting. It also happens when an authenticated user is logged in to the web app. It is not caused due to the meeting expiring or being torn down.

Is there a way to increase this timeout? Installing the full Skype client isn't really an option.
