Skype for Business Online Voicemail Retention

Hi

 

We have a need to set a retention policy of 14 days for voicemail in a users inbox due to eDiscovery. This seems to be available only for on premise use and not Skype for Business Online. Is this the case or are we missing something?

 

If not, are there any 3rd party products which we accomplish this with?

It depends on what you mean by Skype for Business Online.
If you're using Skype for Business but Exchange Online for voicemail then have a look at this: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd335226(v=exchg.160).aspx

But if you're using Skype for Business Online for PSTN calling (ie. Cloud PBX) that's a bit different as it uses Azure Voicemail and the messages don't come through as a voicemail MessageClass, they are just email with an attachment.

Yes sorry I should have elaborated. We are using Skype Online for PSTN with Azure voicemail.

 

So it sounds like there is not much we can do for retention policy then?
