Skype for Business and Standalone Cisco Video endpoint

Copper Contributor

Hello,

Is it possible to join Skype for business meetings from a standalone Cisco video endpoint (ex: MX300 or Room55) ?

Does it require additional infrastructure? What about licensing ?

Kind regards.

Hi,

Yes, but you will need a bridge for that. You could check Pexip or BlueJeans both supporting Skype for Business On-Prem and Online. These will require extra licenses but you can run them as a cloud service.

For SfB 2015 you could use the Video Interop Server.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/skypeforbusiness/deploy/deploy-video-interop-server/configure-a-vtc...

PGI & Modality are also able to offer interoperability, web or install pkg.

One end point needs normally one license as it using one simultaneous channel only
