"Panic Button" for Skype for Business client

Copper Contributor

Hi there,

We recently had a request to implement a "panic button" feature for Skype for Business.  Basically the user wants to in case of an emergency, have a feature that sends a pre-recorded message, text or alert through Skype for Business client.  Has anyone heard of this type of feature?  I've done some searching but I can't find any add-ons that would be able to provide that type of feature.

- Our server environment is Lync Server 2013

- Clients all use Skype for Business client

- The client who requested this is on Enterprise Voice

We had reached out to Microsoft and was advised to post on the techcommunity site.

Sounds like something you'd have to custom develop using the UCWA.
In warehousing we have what's called a man-down system, part of the spectralink dect infrastructure ...

I know that the Alert Broadcast functionality is possible. Check out out AlertMe from Modality Systems.

The "Button" might take a small bit of custom dev. I'm sure someone on the product team could give you more details.
