Questions on Skype Team Collaboration - Interoperability

Brass Contributor

Hi Experts,

One of our customer raised the below queries:

Scenario 1:
We have most part of the users defined in SFB Hybrid (partly on Prem / partly Online). AAD is in place.
So we have 3 kinds of users of SfB :
• On Prem users with SIP domain lambertconsulting.ch
• Online users migrated from OnPrem to Online with SIP domain (Contoso.com)
• Pure Online users (that were created directly Online) with SIP domain (Contoso.onmicrosoft.com)
We have some other users defined on Teams in the same tenant.
Is it possible to have IM, AV between users from SfB and Teams ? If not, what is the roadmap to have this feature ?

Scenario 2:
We have SfB On Prem (no hybrid) with some users.
We have Teams users define in a Tenant (but no AAD).
Is it possible to make IM, AV, … between these users  ? If not, what is the roadmap to have this feature ?
Is Federation between Teams users and SfB user available ?
When RGS will be available for Teams ?

Any pointers would be of great help.

Many thanks.

Scenario 2:
If the onprem users and the Teams sers have the same domain, and you activate skype license in O365, precense will break. You need Skype license activated in O365 to have a full feature set in Teams.
