Problem with external Display in Skype Rooms System - showing Win10-image

Copper Contributor

We have a couple of SRS/Logitech SmartDock systems where we experience that the external display shows the "Windows 10" desktop background image instead of the Skype image.

They both run Creators Update and app version 3.0.12.0. Dual displays are turned off on both.

The only way to resolve this is to reboot the device.

Is this a known bug? Is there a way to fix this?

Hi Erlend, after you resolve the issue by restarting the issue, does the Win 10 desktop background image come back again later?

Hi David,

yes - the problem is back next morning.

I just noticed a new update was released, mentions issue with sleep mode but perhaps worth a shot.

Looks like root cause of problem is Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) feature of HDMI. Some of our TVs works fine.
