Internal domain and public access

Copper Contributor

Hi.

I have been fighting for days trying to deploy a S4B 2015 edge server to give users public access to meetings.

My AD domain name is <company>.local

I'm having 2 problems:

1. The frontend server which is serving meet.company.com has an internal CA certificate. When someone outside receives an Outlook mail invitation for a meeting, this person cannot use it, because the site certificate is not trusted.

2. Since my domain is <company>.local, the message embedded meeting url is wrong, (frontend.company.local/<meeting_id> instead of frontend.company.com/<meeting_id>).

Is there a solution to make it work without changing the domain name?

Thank you.

Hi @Gatola

Even after changing your domain to the company.com how do you think will the external user join the SFB Meetings? Does your SFB 2015 Front End Server connected to the Internet directly?

For having SFB Meeting and have external users join the meeting you need to have SFB Edge server so that you can have your external user reach out to your FE server via the Edge for the SFB Meeting?
