Skype Room Systems v2 3.1.99.0 has been available as an automatic update since March 14th.

 

3.1.99.0 Release Notes are as follows:

  • Fixes an issue where intermittent meeting join issues may occur.
  • Fixes an issue know to result in a device "hang" experience.

Hi David,

sorry to hassle you again, but when Win 10 1709 will be announced? Install source still points to 3.0.15 - when it will be updated? We don't use Windows Store, that's why we need install source. What's the reason to hide the source?

Hi,

we're in the same situation as Pavel - installing through a source package, not from Windows Store, and are "stuck" on 3.0.15. A release of source files for 3.1.99 would be highly appreciated!

Is the update available in the Windows Store? I don't see any new version of SRS in the Window Store app when I try to do a manual update

im new here . For this version,  when the surface pro idle overnight, the touchscreen hung . It will still wake up when you enter the room but it totally freeze. Im not sure if its cause by windows update or software issues. Also, i could not find any clue on the event logs. 

 

It is so difficult to manage this device. Im gonna try to go back to version 3.0.15.0 tomorrow.

 

Anyone experience this?

Any release notes on the just released version 3.1.100 ?
We also had "touchscreen hungs" with version 3.1.99 - Logitech Smartdock firmware version 1.1.8

My Logitech SRS just got update to v3.1.100.0

 

Is this blog the official source for update news or should I be looking somewhere else?

It would be great if the app's Store page had a changelog so it's easy to look at from the device itself

 

Also, we aren't quite ready to join them to domain and use Group Policy/SCCM. However I can only see how to pause Windows Updates. What's the official way to stop Windows, Driver and App updates locally

Windows update and App update is annoying .  I have turn off windows update via services (disable it ) , task scheduler and gpedit.  . I will try to join this device to domain and manage via sccm next week and see. 

 

For the first time, i arrived this morning and touchscreen never freeze. i disable the app update for the mean time and did not notice the skype version.

let me check later.

 

I have more than 2+ rooms and the company direction is using this smartdock . goodluck to me and seems traditional VC ,cisco is still better in terms of managing as im using TMS .Is there any management software for this. Are you guys able to share how you are managing this or checking the status of each device. 

 

Hopefully, this skype app becomes stable and microsoft improves this . Its quite user friendly and very easy to use.  

 

i was hoping microsoft should just release a dedicated iso image or cd installer for this = )

Skype Room Systems v2 version 3.1.98.0 deployment kit is available for download from TechNet.

 

NOTE: Building an image with 3.1.98.0 and Windows 10 Version 1709 requires the addition of January Update KB4056892.  A PS1 script is available on the TechNet site to more quickly build images.

anyone test this 1709 build?  surprisingly , 3.1.99.0 is ok so far in our room. 

 

What I did is disable windows update and app update.

Hi,

@rodelmurex I have been testing version 3.1.100.0 since yesterday evening in my lab and everything seems to work fine. I am really positive surprised about stability of the device.

My SRS got automatically upgraded from 3.1.16 -> 3.1.100. So far so good but the OS is still running Windows 10 Enterprise 1703. So it's not a requirement to have Win10 build 1709 version for this latest update.

sorry i have ask this already, but when i joined one of our device to domain, im not sure why the the display is not turning off at all :( i have set to 2minutes for the display to off,  but still its just wakes up whole day .
