Yes/No versus Choice Column

Copper Contributor

Just a general question.

Is there a benefit in utilizing a Choice column versus a Yes/No column?  It seems that the use of a Toggle is simpler with the Choice field but just looking for insight relative to use.

I find that the user interface for Yes/No is more confusing than a Choice column with two values. For Yes/No, the user checks a box - which requires more cognitive load because you need to think about if checking means Yes or No. With a choice column, the user sees the word Yes or No - which is much easier and probably more accessible as well. So, in most scenarios within SharePoint, I use choice over Yes/No.
Hello! Thanks for the response. I appreciate the information and opinion. I may be over-thinking the scenario but just trying to simplify a process.
