View Formatting - Missing Option - Format this view

Copper Contributor

I have been using the Column Formatting option in lists that uses JSON to format the columns. I wanted to try the View Formatting to customize the row display but the option to Format this view I cannot find. From documentation this is how you add the JSON.

Get started with view formatting
To open the view formatting pane, open the view dropdown, and choose Format this view.

I'm on a Modern SharePoint Online site list but the Format this view doesn't exist for me. I haven't seen any indication that anyone is using View Formatting so if any has used it please let me know how to get started. Thanks

Here is the link to the documentation

The Forma View is not rolled out yet (I think is in process to be rolled out)
