Using lookbook as a productions Intranet

Brass Contributor

Hi all,

I was considering if anyone in the community might be using SharePoint LookBook templates for real life production Intranet?

Personally I only use them as demo sites and for general inspiration. After that I go a head and build my own HUB, all the sites I need and them set them up according to specifications.

I understand using them if you have little experience with SharePoint, but other than that I always advice clients to build their own.

Any thoughts on this?

Hello, my experience is that the templates works great for small, mid-sized companies. You manage to save a lot of time and instead focus on the conten and navigation/custom SPFx webparts.

Ofcourse it is always wise to educate some users (Power-users/Champions) so they can innovate and help the company by further improve the sites and architecture, based on the templates.
