Would like to activate the special privileges SeBackupPrivilege to copy on-premise SMB shares to SPO using Migration Manager. That is, would like to use an account that Is a member of the "Backup Operators" security group that has these privileges in a deactivated state and activate the privilege for the account used to access SMB shares in Migration Manager. Has anyone worked out how to do this?
This would allow the account specified within Migration Manager to access the on-premise SMB shares to read files which it wouldn't otherwise have permission to see.
Essentially just trying to achieve what robocopy, AzCopy, and most backup software can do in order to be able to read all data with an account when it has not assigned filesystem permissions. Although I'm fortunate enough to work for an organisation that has Premier Support, I'm getting nowhere fast with this query in a support ticket.
