Usage Reporting

In previous versions of SharePoint on premise we had the ability in exporting usage date to excel.  Now that we made the transition to SharePoint Online, as users check the Site Usage page, we keep being asked if there would be an option for exporting the metrics to an excel file for example.  Does anyone know if there may be plans for allowing to export of the data such as Site Visits?

@JMB125 the site analytics we get on modern SharePoint are totally inadequate for most site owners and are woeful compared to what was available as far back as SharePoint 2010!

AFAIK, no...you could always try to built those analytics yourself or even use a third party tool
