Unable to add modern SharePoint site to MS Teams as personal app.

I am trying to add our intranet site to MS Teams as a personal app, but it does not seem to work. 

I tried to add URL for a web part on the site and that worked but when I try to add the URL for the home page for the site it does not work.

Please provide me with some guidance and support on what could be the issue and fix.

I did indeed follow the document shared by you when embedding the SP site through AppStudio.
