Trouble decreasing Title Column Width in List of Sharepoint.

I work for a company that helps other companies with their technical issues. One such issue is that the column width  of the first column in a list is too large for what they wish to use it for. This is causing the mobile app of SharePoint to have issues when displaying the list. I have tried using JSON arguments to format the column to make it smaller. This did not work..  Any help would be great, Thanks!

You can only customize the Sharepoint View and columns for display using JSON formatting . It seems like you can't set the width of the column.

Please take a look at previous techcommunity post they had a workaround using calculated column.
