Title not shown on New forms when list is created by MS Access

Copper Contributor

I have created some lists by exporting them from MS Access. When I add a new item with the +New button the record view form does not allow for the editing of the title field. I can create the title filled in Grid view. Existing records show the Title. Lists manually created on the same SharePoint site do not have that problem. Here the screenshots:

Form opened with +New. Entry field for Title missing. "New Item" is not editable.

2: When editing an existing record, Title is shown and editable.

3: Title can be created in grid view:

I could find others with the same problem also when importing from Excel or creating a list from a template but no resolution. Turning management of content type on and off does not work. The field is already there, it is just not displayed in the New form.

I do not have rights to run powershell to analyse further. Custom forms also didnt work.

Any tipp what else I could try?

Thanks!

Tom
