Team site through mobile device

Copper Contributor

When accessing SharePoint team site from mobile device, the landding page looks strange since it opens ‘site contents’ view.

In order to see the ordinary front page of the team site, you have to switch from mobile view to pc view

Is it possible to get team site’s front page as landing page in mobile?

Could you send some more info what device are you using a SharePoint app or are you using browser experience is it Office 365 or on premm etc.
No, It's not...in order to go mobile with SharePoint you have several options:
(1) Use default mobile view for SharePoint that does not provide a really good user experience as you are describing.
(2) For SharePoint Online, 2016 and 2013 use the SharePoint App that is available for iOS, Android and Windows.
(3) Create your own custom mobile experience...for instance, making your sites fully responsive so you can browse them directly from your mobile device
(4) Use third party tools that can make SharePoint mobile friendly

Thank you Juan Carlos González Martín for your thorough answer, I'll forward it to my organization.

We are in O365 environment and I used Chrome browser in Android phone. And as I mentioned, the team site was opened to the 'site contents' page.

I also tested SharePoint Android App, and the team site was opened to the page 'Something went wrong ...', but it was possible to continue and browse the real content.

Perhaps we have to live with this.

You can disable the "site contents" mobile view by Deactivating the Mobile Browser View site feature

Disabling this feature does not mean you will get a solid mobile experience, as per Juan Carlos González Martín there are other options to look at.
