SPO Modern Templates not showing up

Hello,

we have a modern Site where we want to create modern pages from templates. So we have created the templates but we cannot choose to create a page from a template. 
In the Site creation tab we are missing the "View templates folder" button. (See screenshot for refrence)

The Publishing feature is deactivated and the Custom Script is activated. 
It is a Communication Site without a Group association. We tried to reproduce this problem but weren´t successful.

In case if somebody is wondering, the solution for this problem:
If you have more than 500 sitepages in your site, you can´t create sites from templates anymore..

@RonLevy i think we found out via error and trial.

Hi all,
this was just an temporary issue and short time later, everything was working again. MS had rolled out updates which were causing the issue. They fixed it very quickly :)
