SPO Filter Search Box Missing

Hello,

One of my users have pointed out that the search box at the top of the filter window is now missing. I know from personal use that search box was there not more than a week ago. 

The column being filtered is indexed and the list has more than 30K items.

Mine has magically reappeared too but now the filter options do not work in Chrome or FireFox. When you click the filter option the little side window opens but it just spin and no data shows up. I have left it for 20 minutes and nothing. These columns are indexed.

It does work in Edge so we are not at work stoppage.

@ajfleet I'm not finding any solution for this. My users also experiencing the same issue. Please let me know if you have the fix. Thanks in advance.

The search box just showed back up on its own.
