Site/library visitors are unable to share anyone link

Hi!

I have a question about sharing data/ creating links for anyone in Sharepoint.

I have changed the Sharepoint policies to allow external sharing to anyone.

It now seems that only users who have at least edit permissions in the library, can create links to share externally.

But there is a group with users which only have read only permissions that I want to be able to create links as well.

Is this even possible?

Hello @Michel_van_Wees 

a visitor can only a sharing link for user to have existing access, not possible to create sharing links for anyone other. The site permissions options are only available for members and owners:
