SharepointOnline and OneDrive down for all users in the company-"Sorry, something went wrong"

I am using a Global Administrator account on O365.

Last Thursday 08/01/2019, SharePoint Online and Onedrive for Business went down for all our users across all our offices. The error is 

1) For Sharepoint Online

Sorry, something went wrong
An unexpected error has occurred.

2) For OneDrive

Access Denied

You need to be an admin. Log out and try again with an admin account.

 

I opened a support case #15680042 with O365 support and even though it was escalated to their "Office 365 Next Team", they were totally unable to help so far. They keep saying they requested info about the correlation id from their backend engineers and are waiting for them to respond. Any ideas what could be wrong?

That's the kind of errors where we cannot help a lot...is there any message in the health dashboard realted to SPO that could explain the problem. I can confirm that in Europe everything works as expected
