Sharepoint Test Site to Live

Copper Contributor

Hello All,

I was wondering how the Test Site (made from a Template) to Live site worked.

Scenario: A current (live) classic site is going to be saved as a Template. I will use that template to create an exact copy up to 50MB (due to Microsoft's cap). I perform some flows and my test site's tasks. After the task or flow is made, the current or live site will need to run the newly made flow.

The question is, will I have to create that flow again in the Live site? Or is there some what to carry or copy that flow from the test site to the live sit?

Is there some sort way to link the two if I needed to do that (with regards to flows and or sharepoint functions)?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Haku_WeiMMLXXVII,

Flow's are not stored in the site and will have to be recreated. You can "copy" the Flow with the "Save as" feature but you will have to set the SharePoint URL's, list and document library names accordingly.

I hope this helps.
