Sharepoint search iFrame content

I am not an expert in sharepoint search... I am wondering if I have a page with an iFrame, and the contents displayed through this page come from a document management system, will a sharepoint search detect the entries displayed.

Currently end users can search the intranet for a policy. The policies have been uploaded as pdf files in the sharepoint intranet. So a search would return results.

If we remove these pdf files from the intranet and surface them directly from the Document Management system using a web grid within an iframe, would a search through the intranet return any results?

@victormonasterio no it will not, if the content resides outside of SharePoint it will not crawl and index it so it will not be displayed in search results. If content is from SharePoint but maybe outside of current site then you can do search scopes to get the results.

if you want to crawl and index outside content but it needs configuration on Tenant level if you are using SharePoint Online
