Hi Parag, it's true. Publishing sites are not reported in Office 365 SharePoint site usage reports. In many cases, information about publishing sites are very useful, and judging by your post I can see that it would be of use if you would be able to track them. For this type of detailed report, a third party analytics solution is usually needed.
